Popular professional networking site LinkedIn recently launched their LinkedIn Learning tool with the heartwarming slogan “Whatever you’re in it for, we’re in it together!” This platform has been created by LinkedIn’s subsidiary, Lynda.com. LinkedIn Learning is an online tool for companies and individuals to purchase for educational reasons. LinkedIn Learning offers courses in: Spreadsheets, programming languages, project management skills, and software design, to name a few.
The irony of this seemingly great system is how they chose to market LinkedIn Learning. The first time hearing about this new tool was from none other than… Instagram! One can’t help but laugh and say “did a social media platform just advertise its new social media learning platform on another social media platform” followed by “game changer?” This has people wondering how far social media will go in the next decade and at what cost? LinkedIn is currently offers a free base profile, however, now they’re offering this other platform at a cost.
