The latest made-for-Instagram food crazy to join sushi donuts and rainbow bagels is the Unicorn Frappuccino. This Starbucks drink had all the right qualities to make it go viral; the word unicorn, magical colors, and only being offered for a very limited time (April 19th – 23rd). While the drink was popular among Instagrammers, it wasn’t a favorite for Starbucks baristas. Several baristas tweeted begging for the trend to end.
The overall consensus seemed to be that the Unicorn Frappaccino wasn’t palatable, but that didn’t seem to curb the need to for a selfie with the bright pink and blue drink. Even Katy Perry couldn’t handle it.
