Is Social Media On Your New Year Resolution?

It’s a brand new year and if 2015 is anything like last year, 45% of Americans have made a whole list of (mostly) health related resolutions.  According to Statistic Brain, the top ten are:

  1. Lose weight
  2. Get organized
  3. Spend Less, Save More,
  4. Enjoy Life to the Fullest
  5. Stay Fit and Healthy
  6. Learn Something Exciting
  7. Quit Smoking
  8. Help Others In Their Dreams
  9. Fall in Love
  10. Spend More Time with Family

If we are to believe the experts at Prevention magazine, social media can and should have its rightful place on this aforementioned list.  As the sparkle of January wears off and people find themselves on the verge of falling off their resolution wagon, they can turn to LinkedIn for some mood-lifting, Twitter for bite-size health news, Pinterest for focus, and Facebook for soothing upliftment.

Surely, the pros and cons of the health benefits of social media are open to debate but I am up for anything that may bring some inspiration and sustain motivation.  How about you?
