The newest service to be offered for weddings at the W Hotels in New York is a “social media concierge”. For $3,000 your social media concierge will create a unique hashtag, live tweet, post vine videos and instagram photos. Isn’t that what your guests are for? Besides being there to share your special day, almost everyone has a cell phone and can do the exact same thing.
I haven’t been able to find any positive feedback on the service. When this was first announced in March, it did create a little stir with bloggers and tweeters sharing their opinions on this. That’s not to say that no one has paid for this service, they may just be scared to admit it online.
