As many of us are working on our group projects, and how various companies use social media, this article from Ad Age popped up on my radar today, and I wanted to share it with the group.
It is a fun collaboration between Geico & M&M’s that leverages both of their brand’s unique spokespersons, which is all about their brands without being obnoxious.
Also of interest is that this seems to be the beginning of a broader campaign by M&M’s, with the VP of Marketing for Geico commenting that :
“these icons have amassed considerable brand equity, but rarely outside of their familiar surroundings. We hope this spot will reveal an entertaining and unexpected twist for consumers.”
I love it & hope they do more of it. I scrolled down a bit further in twitter and saw that the thread started or was planted about 5 days ago.
