Wherfore art thou Publius – a Secrety by any other name.

Alexander Hamilton portrait by John Trumbull 1806.jpg

I-commerce may hinge on authentication (i.e. you are who you say you are) and proper netiquette is don’t post anything you will regret later in my life (sadly this rule is growing ruefully antiquated).   Where does one go if they wish to remain anonymous? It may be a Secret.  Yes a new I-phone app Secret  will allow users to post anonymously without having to fear the repercussions of doing so.  There are other apps in the anonymity space, but secret is designed for only your private network of friends, which may not make it all that secret after all.  It’s been 225 years since James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton wrote under the pseudonym Publius and anonymity seems to be just as important today as it was back then, without all the political consternation.
